Blog is public/Pinterest & Good Reads/Updated 2012 List and new 2013 list/

Good morning, Book Group Members!

Once again, Happy 10 Year Anniversary to all of you!!!  Wow, 10 years – I am so proud!  I am so proud our group has wonderful individuals like you to represent us.  Again, thank you for making the group everything that it has been and will continue to be!  Group went wonderful on our last Tuesday night for this summer.  It was “slightly hot” to put it lightly, I think “melting” was mentioned several times.  :0)  As always though, a great discussion and if you have not read a State of Wonder the group recommends that you do.  Next group, switches to the third Wednesday, September 19, 2012, from 5 to 7 pm, at Prantes!!!  See you then!

Quick question does anyone have the book The Diving Bell and the Butterfly?  Thought I would ask one last time.  ;0)

Undercover VI Book Group Blog – Also, I have opened the Undercover VI Blog to the world!  All you have to do is go to the following link:  http://bookloversunite2day.blogspot.com/   You no longer have to log in…so just it the link to your Favorites or add it as an icon on your desktop. All of you are authors.  You can add your name to the waiting list by adding a comment at the end.  You can check our reads.  You can link it to Facebook, etc.  Have fun!   ;0)  Also, we have begun positing our book group selections on Pinterest.  If you are not aware of what it is, Pinterest is comparible to a fun digital bulletin board – I’ve heard it’s quite addicting.  You can view the site without being invited at the link below, but to interact you need to be invited – we will do this in the future.

You can access Pinterest and Good Reads from the Undercover VI Book Group Blog http://bookloversunite2day.blogspot.com/  by clicking at the links on the top OR you can access them from the NDSCS Mildred Johnson Library Website at:  http://www.ndscs.edu/academics/services/library/

Once there double click on the red “P” icon on the top of the page.  The “g” next to it stands for Good Reads…this is another useful link for readers.

Sounds good to me. Thanks, Tina!

Is this still correct for the book list for the rest of 2012? What was the September read? I missed the summer salsa session so I’m feeling a bit off track. Maggie reference “American Wife” and an email yesterday. Is that it? If so, could I be added to the wait list for it?

I’ve added my choice for December of “Room” by Emma Donoghue. (It was between this and “War Horse” which I also found interesting but “Room” won out.)

2012 List

  • December - “Room” by Emma Donoghue (Cindy B.)
  • November - (Carin)
  • October - Velva Jean Learns to Drive by Jennifer Niven (Loretta)
  • September – American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld (Maggie)

Good afternoon, Book Group members!

First to pertaining to your emails yesterday…

Sorry for the delay in the response everyone, as Maggie shared I was on vacation until today.  Yay for me, but sorry for the inconvenience for all of you.  My personal apology to you Maggie…I meant to say the third Tuesday in that email.  That was totally my error.  To help me avoid this error again in the future can I ask the groups assistance to  send our emails to the entire group that way we all can provide checks and balances for the group.  Again, I take full responsibility on that error – sorry Maggie.

Due to my clerical error, I am doubting myself a tish, but I believe the book group is the third Tuesday, which is next week!  Does that sound right to all of you?  It will be next Tuesday at Niblick’s.  It is the last Tuesday I believe and then it switches to the third Wednesday in September – right?  That should be the only change…Wednesday to Tuesday in the summers due to golf (May thru August generally at Niblicks) and Wednesday (September-April /general Prantes, but the restaurant can vary).  Please reply all in you are in agreement.

Also, it is “our” or a.k.a. the “Undercover VI Book Group’s” 10th year anniversary!!!!!  I plan on taking a few pictures just to give you a heads up – all you have to do is look amazing like you always do!!!

Whoo Hoo!!!
