Missing Book

 

Good Afternoon!

 

We are still looking for a missing book. The book is The Buzzard Table by Margaret Maron. Could everyone please look around to make sure you don’t have this book? It was checked out to Book Group in April, so we do not know who actually took the book at that time. We have received a lost book bill and will need to get it paid for and replaced if we can’t locate it. If we cannot find it, Tina will probably end up paying for it herself. We are still hoping to find it though!

Wicked

Good Afternoon ladies-

I know this is a longshot but you all being active in the arts scene I thought maybe you would know of someone.  I have 2 tickets to the traveling broadway production of Wicked at the Orpheum in Minneapolis for Saturday at 2pm.  They are floor seats on the aisle.  My husband has injured his back and can’t  do more than walk from the couch to the bed so is not able watch our kids while I attend the show.  If you or anyone you know would be interested in the tickets they are $200 for the pair and I could get them to you.  Thanks for any help you might have. J  I am VERY disappointed I can’t go but my family has to come first.

Mel has three public book events next week:

1.       The first one is today, Tuesday, October 1^st, at 6:30 pm at NDSU at the memorial Union in the Arikara room. She's giving the keynote speech for coming out week, and will be talking about the what it was like to write a book and what it's been like since it was published.

2.       She will also be on the radio at 1:10 on the Jack and Sandy show – 790 AM??

3.       On Thursday, October 3 at 7:30 pm she'll be giving a public reading at Concordia in the Frida Nilsen Lounge.

4.       On Friday, October 4 at 9:20 am in the morning, she'll be sitting on a moderated panel with two other writers. Talking about writing. She love to see you there if you can make anything.
