The Help sounds interesting. The St. Pat's Party sounds like fun but we have Lenten Services so won't be able to attend. Have fun!!! Alice

Happy Friday, Everyone!!! The Wilkin is the majority pick. Therefore, it will be at the Wilkin, next Wednesday, March 17th, 5 - 7 pm. The book is the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. The two suggestions for April, thus far, are The Help and The Shack - we own both. See below for more information. Synopsis Be prepared to meet three unforgettable women: Twenty-two-year-old Skeeter has just returned home after graduating from Ole Miss. She may have a degree, but it is 1962, Mississippi, and her mother will not be happy till Skeeter has a ring on her finger. Skeeter would normally find solace with her beloved maid Constantine, the woman who raised her, but Constantine has disappeared and no one will tell Skeeter where she has gone. Aibileen is a black maid, a wise, regal woman raising her seventeenth white child. Something has shifted inside her after the loss of her own son, who died while his bosses looked the other way. She is devoted to the little girl she looks after, though she knows both their hearts may be broken. Minny, Aibileen's best friend, is short, fat, and perhaps the sassiest woman in Mississippi. She can cook like nobody's business, but she can't mind her tongue, so she's lost yet another job. Minny finally finds a position working for someone too new to town... Synopsis A kidnapped daughter is presumed dead, and when her grieving father receives a letter, apparently from God, inviting him to the scene of the crime, he can't help but go. What he finds there will change his world forever. Let me know if your vote is for one of these or if you have another to add to the list. :-) Tina Tina Grenier Librarian, Head of Collection Management North Dakota State College of Science Mildred Johnson Library 102 800 North Sixth Street Wahpeton, ND 58076-0002 701.671-2612 -or- 800.342.4325 Ext 32612 Fax: 701.671.2674 CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This e-mail message is intended only for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged, confidential and exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
