We had a question on the day and time of the book group so I thought I would just share it with all.
1. According to the Blog at the URL http://bookloversunite2day.blogspot.com/p/days-and-times.html
2. Under “Days and Times” on the right-hand side we have:
May thru August
Then, due to members in golf, the day will switch to the third Tuesday of the month in May thru August and are generally at Niblicks.
The third Tuesday is May 21, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm. On the blog (renamed after our claim to fame, “Melanie Hoffert”), we state that we generally meet at Niblicks. I know we discussed meeting at Antoinette’s more. We will change it to Antoinette’s or the NEW Niblicks (yet to be named) .
[Shelly – how about we add where we plan to meet on the blog also behind the selectors name?]
I called Antoinette’s and they shared the following options. So we need 2 things from you [Shelly – would you be so kind to track the tally on this?]:
1. R.S.V.P. by the end of Friday, May 10th - Yes or No – on attending.
2. Meal vote (majority wins). Approximately $9.00/$9.50 for meal, dessert, and coffee/lemonade plus one of the following choices:
a. Chicken, wild rice, veggie
b. Quiche with fresh fruit and bun. For this choice pick 1 of the 3 choices and 2 will win if this is the consensus choice:
i. Veggie
ii. Ham/Spinach
iii. Bacon/Swiss
c. Chicken salad croissant with fresh fruit
d. Pasta salad meal with a bun and fruit
If you so desire…B.Y.O.B. (Bring your own bottle) – or B.Y.O.W. (Bring your own wine) – hee, hee.
Gloria, can you give “The Reader” to Shirley to read. I will skip me. Does anyone else need it?
